Full blinks — the habit behind dry eyes

full blinkpartial — surface exposed
The fix

A few times an hour, blink slowly and fully so the lids actually touch.

Why it happens

Concentrating suppresses blinking, and many of the blinks that remain are partial — the lids never fully meet. Only a complete blink spreads a fresh tear film across the whole eye surface.

If you ignore it

Chronic partial blinking leaves the lower eye surface exposed, driving the gritty, burning, tired-eye feeling of long screen days.
